With a decade of experience, Rob Tarantino helps individuals, companies, non-profits, and co-operatives advance their rights, protect their interests, and resolve their disputes in the areas of labour & employment, professional regulation, occupational health and safety, human rights, disability benefits, social benefits, administrative law, and civil litigation.
Rob has successfully represented clients at the Ontario Court of Appeal, Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Landlord and Tenant Board, and Social Security Tribunal. Additionally, Rob has a proven track-record of helping clients avoid costly legal disputes by preventing problems before they arise and helping clients resolve disputes through negotiation and mediation.
Rob graduated from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in 2010 and completed his law articles as a Judicial Law Clerk for judges of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto. Before opening Tarantino Law, Rob was a Partner and Associate Lawyer, respectively, at two downtown Toronto boutique law firms. While at law school, Rob was awarded a University of Windsor Social Justice Fellowship providing for an internship at Pivot Legal Society in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and worked as a law student volunteer at Community Legal Aid in Windsor, Ontario.
Rob keeps active in the legal and broader community through speaking, writing, teaching, and community advocacy work. He provides pro-bono legal services through Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline, is a past President & Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Cycle Toronto, and was a teaching team member of the Lawyer as Negotiator class at Osgoode Hall Law School. Rob is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011.
